The wheels are American Racing Nooz. and yeah, i was thinking about thinner, but i'm not sure if it might mess up the chrome. I might try a liiiitle spot in a few days.
Thanks alot
-Dan

Try a little isopropyl alcohol. It works wonders and won't damage the rims..

I'd have it back at the place that painted it, and if they can't remove it without ruining them, they will have to buy new ones. There's no excuse for overspray on rims!!

Definatly, in your case the "safest way", to remove irresponsible overspray is to take it back. This way it will fall on the shop, for refinishing/replacment if nessesary. If your rims already have a clear, don't use thinner, you will remove more than oversray.

brasso is the safest way that I know of. Its a crome/brass/aluminum cleaner and its like 2 bucks a can. I shot my rims on accedent and thats how I got it off. cleans off rust stains... paint aint got sh!t this stuff. plus paint has a hard time sticking to crome unless you sand the snot out of them

clear coat??? If its crome... I don't think they have a clear coat on them. sitting here thinking why would anyone wanna clear crome rims. aluminum...I could see

thinner would work too exept its already dry... crome cleaner will take it off quicker than thinner

But if its my rim... I would make them take it off just because, thats just crappy workmanship and they need to know that!

...any car wash that offers waxing and detailing will have the material you need...someone in my neighborhood got overspray on my entire truck...the detail shop has a clay type material in which you rub on the affected area...kinda works like an eraser and is non-abbrassive, afterwards apply some wax and then buff...should end up feeling as smooth as glass

I work in a body shop detailing cars. I would first start with the 3M detailing clay. It works wonders on overspray and hard to clean dry bugs with out dulling the surface.
