I was looking at the clear "unused" dummy lens by the headlights and was considering on making it functional as a cornering light like on a Cadillac. (When the turn signal is on, a clear white light shines in that direction and only long enough to make the turn before they cut off with the turn signal switch.) I think it would look pretty cool, especially if done with the all clear lenses.

Has anyone done this? Does anyone know where to get the circuitry to do this? I've seen it custom done on an older style F350 pickup once a while back but don't remember how they did it because we couldn't talk too long.

Thanks for any input.

The biggest issue will be getting a bright light into that corner piece. I modified my regular clear corners with a dremel tool and a spare set of parking light sockets so that all of my corner lenses lit up, but it took quite a bit of grinding... Unlike the sections for the turn signals and parking light, the sheetmetal behind the upper corner is nearly flush with the back of the lens, with very very little room to add a new light socket. You'll either have to severely grind the back of the corner lens and socket or cut a hole in the sheetmetal to make it work.
