Hello,
I bought some foglights for my 2001 Dak, they are made for my truck, but there isnt anyway to hook up the hardware that I can see. I took off my bumper to have better accsess but there is no way they will work.

So I have two questions.
1. Anyone ever installed these with this problem?
2. Anyone know of a pair of foglights for a 2001 Dakota that acually will fit correctly?

If these are the ones where there are two bolts going straight up on the top mount these are for the 2k Daks, 01 changed to a different mount style.

Thats what I thought, but there advertised for 2001. I bought them and guess what they dont fit.
So anyone know where online I can get some that will acually work?

Here is the set of fog lights that I installed
on my 2001 Dak. The lights clamp onto a metal
bracket just behind the fog light opening in the
grill.

Your mind explaining this one to me?
That’s the EXACT kit I bought from that exact place.
In the directions it says to attach the bracket to a "triangle" opening, but that opening is to far to the side for the bracket to reach.
It would look like my lights or about 2 inches off center, and I know that’s not the way they should be.
Would you mind explaining, or possibly taking a picture?
I’m not stupid I have done a lot of mods, but this one I cant figure out.

I ran into the same problem with my 2002 Durango. After a lot of comparing and searching, I found out the the Dakotas/Durangos without fog lights from the factory do not have the triangular bumper bracket, which is why you can't install the fog lights as per the instructions. Thank you Dodge for omitting this bracket! You can, however, order the pieces you need here:

Thank you very much, I thought I was insane.
I have one question, does this braket attach to the bumper via some bolts, or does it require welding?
If there bolt on's then you saved my life!

The Dodge fog light kit comes with a bracket that attaches to the frame and the fog lights are mounted on to it, I went and looked and there are no part numbers on the bracket. I have a picture if needed

Ok Just to make sure I have this right let me ask a couple questions.
1.) Do I attach these to the frame of the truck?{http://www.angelfire.com/super/dakotacruiser/MiscPage.htm}
2.) Then attach the lights to those ---^
3.) Are these the Frame mounts or light mounts? Or a different type of frame mount?(http://www.angelfire.com/super/dakotacruiser/MiscPage2.htm)
This next question might throw everything off but here it goes.

Would they still require the frame mounts?
Lots of questions I know, but better to be sure than not.
