Does anyone know of a suitible hub/spindle setup that swaps out the 6 bolt by 4 1/2 common on the newer Dakota's and Durango's??? I have a 95 Dodge Dakota 2WD and am looking to convert to a 5-bolt set-up. Someone on here posted some pics of a small blue Dak with 5-bolt hubs (5 X 4.5). I am also dropping the truck so that is another issue as well. I'd like to just swap the front disc/hub setup. Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks!

A guy here in town did that and it was a lot of work i think he used spindles from the gen I 86 -90 Dakotas and had to the spindle shaved down and then sent his axles out to have them redrilled for the 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern. But now there are a lot of rims availible for our Dakotas so I would go the other route. Hope this helps a little??????

It turns out that I am going to have to swap rear ends on my Dakota anyway, so all I am really worried about is the front end. That is where the complicated part of the lowering job is going to be- especially if I am using alternative drivetrain. I did just a little research and I have found that the disc is mated to the hub and it slides on the spindle. Now if only I knew of another small pickup whose hub was the same size and had the 5X4.5 blot pattern......perhaps then I could just swap the hubs and call it good. That way I could use the same spindles! There's gotta be a simple way. thanks for the help flamed92dak. Later
