you can get a 5.9 from a dealership, but its costly, and you'll run into a few problems, and it'll cost more than just buying a new engine. i wanted to a while back, but i broke it down to everything i wouldnt need to buy ontop of the engine, and the labor, and it wasnt worth it,

It's possible.. What year pickup? I think the best place for the money to find a 360 is a salvage yard. That's where I got mine!
**Some say: it's easier to buy the truck with the engine already in it!**
I'm doing it because the engine wasn't offered in the 96 Dakota! Up to you, it is costly!

I was expecting quite a price. I will give dodge a call. The engine will go into a 98 Dakota, and I would be doing most of the work myself. I have always liked the dakotas, and now that cervinis came out with a sweet kit for them, I figure now would be the time so I can have something nice to trailer my stang. Thanks for the replies guys.
