i would like a tool box and bed rails on my dak, but a bed cover might be optimal since i am in a band and must carry several large pieces of sound reinforcement equipment. (i play bass, if only i could fit my speaker cabinets in the cab and get that going with the stereo :) ha) anyway, what do you guys think would be the best deal? i am running out of room in my back seat with my subwoofers so i need somewhere else to store my tools, skateboard, etc while i'm on the road. another problem i have is the bedliner that came stock on my dak has a lip that comes up and over the edge of the bed and i really don't want to cut any more holes in it that i would have to and to put the bed rails on there would make the holes visible.

I would get a tonneau cover that has a hinge... you can get a saddleman cover for about 250 or so... and it'll clamp over the bed cover you have... or it should. I don't have one yet, but would suggest it if you plan on carrying stuff... and the reason for the hinge is so that you can get to things without popping the "rustable" snaps off.

The first thing I would do is cut the bed liner down so it's off the top edge... All that's doing is scratching all the paint off! Just cut it off right under the "edge", than the rails will work fine. No holes to cut! I just did this with my step dads truck. Worked really well.

~Even if you don't put bed rails on, I'd still cut the liner down off the edge!~
