You guys know how made that shaker hood that TNN's TrucksTV show put on that durango about 6-8 months ago? (Remember the blue one)
I've looked everywhere and I can't find one.

What is the best price anyone has found on the shaker? I think they have it out for the 4.7 by now...anyone know the performance estimate on it???

Well, I got a reply back from the hood company. Looks like they are about $800 for the hood if you use the stock filter element.. Looks like that will be a down-the-road mod.
Thought some of you might want to know that.

Does this hood come painted to match your truck , or do you have to have it painted when you get it? Did anyone get the performance gains on this , or is it just for looks?

It does not come painted. You have to get that done. According to the manufacturer it adds 17 hp. I'll let you know how many ponies it adds to my truck when I install it.

17HP IS IF THE TRUCK IS STOCK.. WORTH LOTS MORE IF THE AIR TEMP, COMPUTER, AND EXAHAUST ARE IN LINE... MY 4.7 WILL ROCK A STOCK R/T!!! P.S. RUNS LIKE ALL HELL WITH OUT THE PRETTY SCOUPE IN THE WAY OF THE AIR FLOW

I've had an overall horrible experience hunting down a shaker hood for my 2k R/T. Everyone offered me a price but NOBODY responded when I said I was ready to buy, why? .. because terry @ pro finish sold the molds to keystone who is sitting on their a$$ .. and you'll need it painted, considering the cheapest (realible shop) quote I got was 300 that put me at 1k for 17-25 hp and that's generous. Even if you had the 800 to spend nobody could sell you one, I even openly posted here basically saying I will buy one now if anyone has the unit in stock... no emails, no replys to my post...
so what did I do? .. saved a little more and got a used s/c still under warranty, SOOOO glad I said screw the shaker setup, if your 80% into show and 20% into go just sit tight and wait for keystone to release the shaker, if your 80% into go and 20% into show like me there MUCH better ways gain hp/tq with a grand. Not sure if your truck is modded frank but for the price of the shaker + paint you could get:
mopar pcm: 285
intake: 100
throttle body: 250 (modified stock)
1.7-1.6 rockers: 250
msd/jba wires + msd blaster coil: 80
it's all into what you want, just don't think your going to feel any more difference than ANY of the single mods above (cept' for the wires, coil)if you went with the shaker... ESPECIALLY if your on stock headers/tb

The shaker is available. Mine arrived at the body shop 3 weeks ago.

Keystone has released the shaker hood. Any rebutable aftermarket dealer can get you one for about $850.
