Subject: Spare Tire Cover

Message:
Hi all-

I am thinking about putting my spare tire in the bed of my truck under the SnugTop Lid, but have a couple questions to those of you that have done this.

First, I want a cover for it, like vinyl or something. What has everyone else done. I found these funny covers, but they don't have one in the 17" size.

Other question was what have you done with the cables for the spare tire when you removed it. Did you just tighten them up or remove them completely?

The real determining factor is the tire diameter. It says it fits up to 275/75/15 which is a 30" tall tire. If you have the 255/50/17 tire for the R/T wheels that tire is 28" tall, the tire and handling group has a 255/65/16 which is 29" tall. The 'tire condom' should work with both of these. I would email the company first to confirm...

Thanks Marks DQC, thats a good suggestion, but I am actually just looking for something similar to that to cover my tire while its in the bed of my truck. I am not going to really run around with my tire saying "TIRE CONDOM".

Thanks.
