Subject: Cervini body kit???
IP: Logged

Message:
Hi,

Does anybody know when the cervini sniper body kit is coming out for the dodge dakota and does anybody know how much its is going to cost?I went to cervini's web site to try to find out info on their kit and all they have is a pic of it on their home page.So if you guys have any info on it such as what model is it for(extended cab or regular cab)and also if the side skirts only come with side exhaust exit and or any more info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan

I spoke to them the other day. Some parts are done(grill, bumper cover, hood, rear wing) but others are not due for weeks. Tried to press them for a release date and the best they would offer is "a month or two".

Vaporware until shown otherwise. BTW, it's urethane except for the hood and spoiler. Cost is est. around $1500 for the complete kit.

Wow!,,,that is sweet. Looks like it totally eliminates the seperate blinker signals. I wonder if they then integrate a blinker into the sides?

I've gotta have those side skirts w/the exhaust cutout. I HOPE,,,pray to the cervini people to make an option for dual exits in both side skirts! That would be sweet!

ok, so we can't get a hold of it for "a month or two." But can we get those parts already finished? I'm really only interested in getting the grille, bumper cover. Maybe the wing too, but i need to see it a little better. Let me know...thanx.

I've tried calling them,,but can't ever get through. Their phone support sux.
Now that I've thought about it,,,those side exhaust exits might hurt my exhuast note.
Has anyone tried running dual side exits? (one exhuast exit, on each side, before the back tire)?

Rick, how will you get the exhaust over to the driver's side? Gas tank is in the way and I have yet to figure a clean way to cross over from the passenger side.

Stepdogg, can't get the individual parts. From my conversation it sounded like they had only their early samples. No part numbers or pricing on them is yet available.

I know what you mean, their phone support really sux, I've tried calling and all you get is their answering machine at 2 in the afternoon./ I did go ahead and e-mail them though and all I got was an extremely unhelpfull response! I want that kit real bad, I'm ready for the release already, That'll really spice up the old R/T!!

I hope they make some lights like that and don't just sell those cheap looking GTO covers with the white holes in them. I saw some of those on E-bay!

Well guys this is what I got from Cervinis. The exhaust will only exit on one side...like F-150's. If they make the kit with both side exits. The driver's side will not be functional. Just like there Ram Air Hoods. Which they never made the ram air kit as promised. This is not a customer serviced business. I have been trying to get the Ram Air kit for my 00 CC R/T for two years. All I get is the cold shoulder. I'm stickin with my 'Kota exhaust. Hope this helps guys.

That sniper kit is killer. I hit a deer with my 2000 dakota and need a new grille shell. I really like the sniper grille but their company seems kind of hard to deal with. Does anybody know if another manufacturer makes a grille with just the single verticle bar? If so let me know.

I was hoping the side skirt exhaust kit was functional on both sides so i could run dual exhausts from the engine back.

It isn't possible to run duals on a Dakota in front of the rear tires because of the frame rails and the location of the gas tank. All dual-exhaust systems for the Dakota run down the passenger side of the vehicle and then come across after the axle.

The exhaust systems that exit on the passenger side before the rear tires like the Spintech dual and the Cervini's Sniper Kit (I got a really good look at the whole thing at SEMA) come hopping over the passenger side frame rail with a pretty steep u-curve.

i agree with jeepy...cervinis has been sayin they would have the kit out in a month or two for almost a year...im honestly tired of waiting and about to say screw it and buy the viper kit from exenon (yes i prolly spelled it wrong...oh well). That kit has a nice styling to it too...so why not...and its cheaper...in my opinion, cervinis dosent deserve any business for the simple fack their customer support services suck...
