Does adding a 3" lift kit change the towing performance for my 2002 DQK 4.7litre with a 3:92 rear end?
thanks in advance.

Body lift or suspension lift. Body lift will change the way the bumper mounts to the frame. After lifting the bumper 3 inches they say you should not tow on the bumper. If you've raised one that way then you need to look towards another way to tow-example reese hitch. As for a sus lift I'm not real sure. I've got a body lift on mine, very happy with the results. Let me know how things go, hope that helps some.

Bru, thanks for your input. It would be the body lift kit. I do have the heavy duty service group and the trailer tow pkg. I'll let you know what happens.
Thanks again.

If you have the tow group then no, the body lift changes nothing as far as towing is concerned as long as the trailer isn't being pulled by the bumper. Let me restate that, regardless of the tow group, as long as there is a hitch mounted to the frame then tow away!

Quadman, thanks for that. Always on the caution side when pulling anything.

Absolutly, Quadman is right. As long as your pulling from the frame and not the bumper after the lift. You can tow from the bumper if you don't lift it. I don't think that looks very good though. Let us know how it goes. If your gonna put nerf bars on later or already have them you'll need new bolts. The ones they send won't work. Read the posts.
