should be here in about 1 week. i am so stoked...
got the 15x10s and 33 x 12.5s. hope this doesn't cause anything major with my 3.55s
i know that the 589s have been done over and over, but i like the look of them. i was having trouble deciding between the xterrains and the m/t baja claw radial, but the deal that 4wheelparts is running is too good to pass up.
now to save up the $300 to buy the spare rim and tire :)
anyone have a half dead xterrain they want to get rid of? or a scratched up 589? just checking
thanks to all of you who post here, because i could not have done the research without this site.
will post pics as soon as i get it done.

I would say because there is minimal price difference and the 10" wide doesn't cause the tire to buldge out as much and won't pop a bead loose as easily. Also causes less sidewall flex for better handling. Granted with a lifted truck and 33's handling isn't your first priority.

nice man, but on the spare remember that the tire is directional so either you need two or just hope that the side that your spare is mounted for goes out

Sorry Fred. I didn't mean to sound like an ass. I just know from experience the norm is have your rim 4"s narrower than your wheel. Hell, I run a 15X7 wheel on my Samurai with 33X12.50 radial Swampers. Been from one end to the other of the Rubicon many times and NEVER lost a bead. My personal taste I guess when it comes to the rim being almost as wide as the tire just never looked right. I know you'll like your setup, and thats all that matters.
FYI: No matter how wide your rim is you still have the same amount of sidewall and your handling will not be different.

oh crap... i forgot that the tire is directional
i guess i will get a non-directional temp spare and have an extra tire on hand to mount to the rim if i have a problem.
oh well.. hope it looks good

UPDATE... my tires are going to be delivered tomorrow afternoon!!! now just to get the peeps at discount tire to get my wheels in quicker than wednesday...
oh.. i also went with the 10" rim cause most people that i have seen pictures of that i like have 15 x 10s on.
