OBVIOUSLY THERE WILL NEVER BE A 4X2 SUSPENSION LIFT FOR THE 2001+ BECAUSE IN 04 THE DAKOTA IS CHANGING,GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR SO THIS IS WHAT WE WILL HAVE TO RESORT TO!I'M THINKING OF PURCHASING THE DAYSTAR 1 1/2" SPACERS FOR MY DAK,HAS ANYONE HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEIR SUSPENSION AFTERWARDS? OR HAS ANYONES TIRES WORN DOWN FUNNY AFTER INSTALLING THE SPACERS?I JUST WANT TO GET ALL MY FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE I DO THIS!ALSO IS THERE ANY OTHER PLACES THAT MAKES THESE SPACERS BESIDES DAYSTAR THAT IS WORTHY ENOUGH! THANKS DUDES!!

First of all stop yelling!

Calm down, step away from the keyboard.

2000 Dakotas = 2001 Dakotas = 2002 Dakotas = 2003 Dakotas. They all have the same front suspension. Get the Fabtech lift!

315/75/16's are 35 x 12.50's. You may want to stick with a 33 (305/70/16) unless you plan on getting fiberglass fenders

Please correct me if I am mistaken: It is neither recommended nor possible to use the stock 16x8 rims with the fabtech two inch coil springs, but it is possble to use the factory 16x8 rims with the two inch coil spacers from daystar. Just trying to get my story straight.

you can use your factory rims with either the 2 inch fabtech or the spacers as long as the tires you use fit in the wheel well. the reason you can't use the stock rims with the 3" Fabtech is the fabtech balljoints will hit the stock rim. In my case I am considering moving the tires outward to reduce rubbing in the wheel well.

if you guys say that the spacers lift as high as you say , then the ball joints are going to be close to the a arm fabtechs' dodges' whoever ..... If it doesn't then your not going as high as the fabtech lift , what about your travel , the spacers don't have any ........

Yes your wheels sit 3" further down than stock. But I'm talking about the remaining downward travel they can go after the lift. I read an old post from someone with the Fabtech that said they had 1" downward travel. This is the amount that your wheels can drop downward and away from the truck. Jack up your truck and see how far your wheels drop down before hitting those rubber stops.

Possible or impossible to fit 285/75/r16 (about a 33x11.3) with factory 16x8 rims?
2WD with 2inch fabtech coil springs, 3 inch PA body lift; shocks can be stiffened for additional height

or

Daystar dodge ram 2 inch coil spacers up front and an add a leaf in the back for about 2-3 inches of height (front and back) and a PA 3 inch body lift

Will either of those work to fit the tires and rims? I am willing to do some trimming

So are you sure it will work? Which one would you recommend: the fabtech coils and a body lift or the daystar coil spacers, an add a leaf kit and the body lift?

i am sure it will work ....but its always good to consider other sources of info too , if i was in your situation and lack of funds i would get the 3" performance accesories lift, with the daystar spacers, and the add a leaf kit.but the best way(if you had the $$$$) would be the fabtech 3" lift with the p.a. body lift! i have the 3" pa lift on my dak with 265/70/16's its just an assumption but i would say.... it will work!
