Yes there are some available. But no one will recomend buying them. Wait for one of the big companies like Superlift or Rancho to come out with something that is quality. Before you end up spending WAY!!! to much $$$ trying to get one of the crappy ones working.

I think I might be brave and get it. But we'll see how ranchos' turns out first.

Hey guys, just though I would post a little info here. I know Knobby has had terrible problems with the 4.5 lift but there is a guy in town here who just had a local shop install the 6" with absolutely no problems. The alignment went fine and the shop installer I talked to said the kit bolted on fine. I know this company did Knobby wrong but I think i'm gonna get the lift Chad's truck looks awesome as all get out and it rides and drives great. He let me take it for a test drive and it steered fine with no popping much at extreme turns. I can't keep sitting around hoping that Rancho will come out with a 2.5 kit, thats just not enough. I don't see any other lifts coming out for us either due to the fact Dodge is changing the body style for 04. Like I said, the lift looked and felt great, I was shocked, especially when Roger at the shop said it bolted right up.

Everyone talks about how the lift looks, but my concern is not with the look, I know it's going to LOOK great, but when have all 4 tires are off the ground my concern is that when I land that the truck will still be in one piece.

My concern is the quality of the work not the look.

I don`t think the truck is designed to be jumped from the factory , much less after adding a susp. lift and larger , heavier wheels and tires.

Make no mistake , I`m in NO WAY defending T.S. lifts , I`m just saying it sounds like you`re expecting a little much.

I would be happy if all the parts fit the first time around and held up under everyday use...not ABUSE.

Scott,

Your right, I probably over shot there, but my concern would be in that the installed components can handle the stress of off roading.

I just wanted to point out that the Chad I am speaking of is not the same one who has posted on the other thread. Also as far as wheeling goes the Chad here in town has done some serious wheelin with no problems. From what I have heard the problem really wasn't with the 6.5 lift but with the 4.5 lift. Thats why rancho won't do a 3" or 4", something to do with the front end component clearances. I do absolutely no offroading anyways, at the most some offroading for hunting but nothing that will hurt my truck so I am going for it. i'm tired of being height impaired!

Good looking truck, Quadman. I've been out looking for wheels this week, and didn't realize all the problems in finding 6-4.5 bolt patterns. As far as 33 (or even 32) tires, it looks like the front bumper is the first contact/rub spot?

Quadman , I think you should go for it!
I know Knobby`s had all kinds of problems , but there were a lot of reasons that contributed to at least some issues he had...

His was the FIRST 4.5 in. kit...

The "installer" was an idiot...

It NEVER should have been attempted in the driveway...

Then , once all those problems boiled over , Ian , or anyone else at Truckin. Susp. didn`t want to deal with him any longer because he was pissed...and rightfully so!!!

That said , it doesn`t excuse a poor quality lift kit , but there`s only one way to find out if they have got there stuff together yet , buy it and find out for yourself , and all of us of course!

Thanks for the compliments. The two rub spots with 33" tires on 10" wheels are on the plastic part of the bumper and the inner fender plastic on the cab side. Also the fender flares will get a good rub too. Need to crank the t-bars and get creative with a hacksaw blade. I guess I will be the next guinnea pig and buy the lift. I gotta have my height!

Quadman, you going with the 6.5 or the 9.5 kit?

Just think...9.5 + 3in body lift = 38s with no rubbing!

Hey Quad Man.
What about that Pre-runner brush guard? Where'd you get it? It looks like a universal mount for a Toyota. I've been wanting to try one, but if it doesn't work I'm stuck with a re-stocking fee. Also..... Are you running any kind of lift now? Those tires don't exactly look stock. It looks great though.

Hey Quadman, best of luck to you on the lift. Keep us posted on what happens. By the way, do you have a body lift on your truck, or just cranked T-bars? My trucks the exact same color, except I have the silver fender flares and rocker panels. I had to take my 10inch wide rims off since I moved for college, they rubbed alot, and I only had 32's on them. I was just wandering how yours rub, and if you have found a way to fix it. I really miss my wide rims.
