I contacted Rancho asking about Dakota Spindles via their "contact us" page, no answer yet. Maybe a lot of you guys could follow up on my contact and ask them about Dakota Spindles also. If they see the demand, maybe they'll provide the supply.

Rancho

I also called Bell Tech, since they are listed on lots of 4x4 websites, and the guy I spoke with said they don't deal with any 4x4 stuff, told me to call ProComp or Rancho.

Lets get someone to make us some spindles.

Spindle lift for a 4x4? God wouldn't that be nice. I'll keep my fingers crossed but I don't think anyone will make it because of the IFS.

Someone PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong I'd be quite intrested in this. If it's possible.

Thank you for your interest in Rancho products. Unfortunately, at this
time, Rancho does not have a suspension lift available for your vehicle.
However, we are in the process of the research and development of this
lift. We have not yet determined a release date on this suspension system,
but project it to be late fall/early winter 2002. More information will be
available in the coming months. For further comments or concerns, feel
free to contact Rancho Technical Service (734)384-7805.

Hello Bob, sorry we are not looking to build a spindle for the Dakota, we are not looking to lift this truck any higher, sorry.

They don't read the forums and I bet none of them own a Dakota. This stinks.

...maybe I'll sit down with my trusty ole pocket knife and widdle me a set.

How much do you think id cost to get a custom set made? I have a Gen I but Ive talked to California super trucks about making aset. They said as long as I could send them a set of stock spindles and had some money to put out, they would make them. But Im in Florida. Long ways away. But maybe you guys could use them too.

Wish I did Jesse, I would think the spidles would be basically the same except the part the hub spins on to be located farther towards the bottom of the spindle instead of more centered like a stock spindle.

I only know how to drive on them, not make them......unfortunately.

Joe, I am over in Cocoa by the space center.

If you got the money, you could probably get just about any machine shop to make you a custom set. You just got to find the right shop with all the right equipment. I can't believe the sus[pension companies out there say there is not enough interest in the raised spindles for a 2wd Dakota after visiting quite a few forums and seeing the numerous posts about just that topic.

I may end up getting raised springs for now. Wife just had baby so can't invest a whole lot in my truck right now. :-(

Thank you for your interest in Rancho Suspensions products. We are more than happy to service your suspension needs.

I understand your frustration and appreciate your concern. Rancho engineering is working hard to work through the system and get it to market at a reasonable price. I'm sorry for the trouble this may be causing you.

If you are interested, your nearest Rancho dealer can be located on our web site by typing your zip code into our store locator section. If you have
any further questions or problems, by all means please feel free to contact us again either via e-mail: www.gorancho.com, or by phone: 1-734-384-7804 M-F 8:30am to 5:30pm EST. You can ask for John if you contact us via phone.

Thank you,

John - Rancho Suspensions installation technician.

He doesn't say that we plan to have it out by a certain time but rather they are trying to get it out at a reasonable price. Does this mean RANCHO is actually working on lifted spindles for the 2 wd or is this just another excuse?

The statement about the spindles has changed. "Working hard" and "system..at a reasonable price" sounds like progress. But they no longer offer a date? Which is worse. It would be nice if somebody could give us a guarantee that they will have a lifted spindle for sale within a year or too. It basicly comes down to... either you is, or you ain't.

We need to find a smaller company that makes quality parts. Someone who can make speciality spindle. We will be able to get them to makespindles for us with fewer other projects going than someone like fabtech who has a business plan thats fairly set for a long future. At that rate, it could be years before we get them.
Just my .02$

My truck is stock heigth, what does he mean "higher"? Its NOT high now. I don't really want to go with the lifted coil springs or a body lift, I'd rather spindles and CANNOT believe 1 company won't jump up and do what so many people are asking for. Seems like they'd be the ones making all the money on the kit....am I right in my way of thinking?
