you should be able to get around 5 inches of lift with a 2inch spindle and a 3inch spacer. that way the steering is really only compensating for the 3 inches of lift that the spacer provides. The spindle only changes where the hub goes the tie rods and such still attach at the same place. correct me if i'm wrong but it should work.
