Subject: Question 4 QUADMAN!!

Message:
Quick question for you QUADMAN, i'm pretty sure you've answered this question before, and i went searching through old posts and your web-site and am fairly certain i overlooked the answer, so i'll just ask...

What backspace are the rims your running?

What backspace do the stock rims have?

I'm asking cause i just love the way your truck looks and when i lift mine i want the similar wider stance look. I want to get the rims and tires (33X12.50) now while i have money and then wait for the suspension lift to come out.

I simply NEED a suspension lift for the stuff i do, this Rancho 2.5" lift needs to come out sooner. I'm treating myself to a nice birthday present in September, and if this lift doesn't hurry up and become available (forgive me Knobbyman) I'm just going to get the damn AIM kit and live with headaches for a month! But i pray to God that the Rancho kit comes out, and then i can add a 2" body lift to make sure 33's fit perfectly.

Does anyone think the Rancho kit can be cranked up to get at least 3" of lift or more out of it?

Anyone know when 4.11 or higher gears will be offered with our trucks. (Damn that Corporate 8"!)

Thanks for the info QUADMAN, and please don't think me a traitor Knobbyman, i just need a lift kit!

As long as you know what your getting into...
But like I've told everyone I have worse ground clearance then a body lifted dakota. Also the articulation is the same. There really isn't much of a difference becides the fact that the frame rail doesn't show on the suspension lift. But if you made custom Nerfs you would be ok anyway.

If your planning on running 35's I'd wait on doing the lift until the 4.10's are availaable because it's going to be less expensive for you to do the gears when you do the suspension lift. (Because you have to drop your front differential anyway).

Arthur.. MAKE SURE!! a GOOD shop that has the tools & knowlage to do custom work. Also get some sort of paperwork before you start installing the lift saying that they guarentee the parts. (naimly the front drive shaft & the steering).

If you do it.. GOOD LUCK!! I hope that they finally took all the numbers that I gave them and started making there products better.

i hope so too Knobby, cause i'd really prefer not have too many headaches.

The shop i would go to has been in business for 15 years and they are only a lifting and 4X4 shop, and i know they have great expertise.

have you seen the post by foxfour on the off-road post? check it out...u might laugh.

Knobby- Where is the ground clearance on your truck worse than a body lift? Is it the torsion bars? From the side I'm not seeing it, there is ALOT of daylight under your truck.

Sorry was my weekend..

The difference is in the front end. I have alot more hardware under the front Drive Differential. I'll try and take a picture tomorrow and post it.. I have fathers-day to clean up for today. ;-)

Basically the Drop down brackets for the lower control arms and the skid plate kill my ground clearance.

What is stock backspacing on rims?

What is the backspacing to TallQuads rims?
