I posted this on the General Board also, but I have more faith in getting legitimate answers here.

After reading lots of posts on this board and doing some other research, I've decided to go with Line X. One of the key points discussed previously was that the installer was probably more important than the product itself. So I turn to the Dakota nation for advice on what questions I should ask my local installer (Bedliners Plus - Irvine, CA) prior to plunking down the cash. Also, I'm leaning towards over the rail... Pro's / Con's on over or under the rail???

I have no idea about that shop.. But..

GO OVER THE RAIL infact go over all the way. I only have mine 1/2 over on the top and I scratch the top that's not lined all the time.

Get it all the way up and just bairly starting down the side.

Personally I have Line-X on my nerf bars and on my toolbox. I have Rhino Liner on my bed and on my bumper.

Sofar I like Rhino because it's stickier (kind of) and softer. But it depends on what your going to be doing with it. I think Line-X is going to hold the color better and it's stronger.

Definitely over the rail..all the way. I can't speak for Rhino because I went with LineX. I've had dirt, rock, lumber, washing machines etc etc in mine and with a little cleanup it still looks new. Just watch sharp shovels OUCH. I've had a few places fixed because of that. Now I don't let anyone use a shovel around it but me. More work for me, but easier on the bedliner.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll be going in at 12:30 today and they will do it while I wait. Definitely going with over the rail... They quoted $390 over the rail after the $25 coupon on their website.
