I recently was online and did some looking around and some how found 3 new suspension lift's for Dakota's from '97 to '01. Go to truckinsuspension.com you'll find 'em there. The 3 new one's come listed in a 4.5", a 6.5", and a 9.5". so instead of 3 option's there are 6 options for lift's. As for gears i've only found them a a local driveline shop(Fleet Pride or Drive Shaft Specialist) and the only go up to 4.56,but you can get any kind of gear between that and stock(3.55). I'm constantly online looking and coming up with rough design's suspension mods. I'm working on one right now, but it's only in the beginning phase. E-mail me anytime, Getchasome223@aol.com, later.

Check out any post with Knobbyman in it and you`ll know all you need to know about Truckin Susp. Do appreciate the thought though , keep looking and pay no attention to anything that says Truckin Suspension!

Hate to further burst your bubble...

There may be gears as low as 4.56 for 97-99 4X4's, but for 2000 and newer it's 3.55's or 3.92's only. For 2000, Dodge changed to a corporate 8 inch unit up front that nobody makes gears for. 97-99's have a Dana 35 front end for which there are all kinds of gear choices.

But if you're talking 2WD's, you're correct. There are all kinds of gears available for the rear axle, regardless of year.

Start Right! Use Autolite!

As for the gear comment i made, sorry, i meant to put that the gear choices for the '97-'99 Dakota's go up to 4.56, i forgot that the 2000 and up use the millimeter differential up front. If anyone's heard of Avalanche Engineneering, you should check out there site. They carry coil-over components. Me and a buddy of mine are working on designing a coil-over set-up using there Coil-over's, heim-joints, limiting straps, high clearence steering, and heavy-duty tie-rod's and steering bar's. We've also been looking at the hydraulic Rock-Ram steering i've heard so much about. If anyone is interested in what we're doing, e-mail me and let me know. If you want to check-out the avalanche site go to: http://www.avalancheengr.com. This is my first Dakota, by the way, and i love the damn thing.

No, i don't work for Avalanche Engineering, i'm just impressed at the high strength and high quality components they offer. Me and a buddy of mine are looking at designing a coil-over suspension USING there parts, that's all.
