ok so im trying to clear up some things with every one. if you want lift turn up the torsion bar. i maxed out mine and put a 1 inch block in the back i can turn 33x12.5x15 with only a little rub on the frame at full lock. now ive got 235x75x15 for mileage and its still got a nice hight to it if you want a little bit bit more room give it a try

93,

With this setup you have no rubbing of the tires on the rear portion of the front wheel opening?...Especially when going off road?

I have a 97 extended cab dodge dakota 5.2,and I was wondering if it would look ok to take my torsion bars up all the way in the front and put a 2 inch block in the rear. I dont want it perfectly level and an inch differenc would be ok with me. Also I was wondering exactly how many inches do you get out of taking the torsion bars up all the way from stock in inches? This would be very helpful for me thank you.

Brandon,

Of course it would look ok...unless you don't like how it looks when you're done. HA!

The only way you will know how much it will lift it, is to JUST DO IT! What you are talking about would be free on the front end, and relatively cheap on the rear end.

Easy way to see what it will look like before you ever open your wallet or put a wrench to it:

1. Jack up the rear of your rig 2"s on both sides. Jack from the frame, not the axle, so your tires stay on the ground. This will best simulate blocks being between axle and springs.

2. Jack up the front, from the crossmember under the engine, not the lower control arms, until the bumpstops for the upper control arms come into contact with the upper control arms themselves. This will simulate adjusting the torsion bars.

Now stand back and admire the stance. That should be very close to what and how it would sit with the modifications you are suggesting.

thanks for the input other bill that should help me solve my problem. I already have it sitting level right now and think that I could possibly get another inch out of the front with the torsion bars but not positive. I also dont want to max it out and hit the bump stops in the front so it doesnt completly kill the suspension and the way it rides. I would either like to use a one inch or a two inch block in the back. What do you think would look the best? If you have any
pictures that would help me out greatly also.

And 93 long bed.... I plan on doing just that. I will get an alignment done for sure. How many inches did you end up putting in the rear of your truck? and if you have any pictures or know of any to look at that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you both for your helpful input,
Brandon

On my `95 ext. cab I have the Trailmaster 4" suspension lift, combined with a 2" body lift, and Glassworks Unlimited fiberglass fenders up front, so mine would not be a good example of what you are trying to achieve. I'm sure yours will look good either way.
