For a suspension lift for your year you should not. On the earlier versions (`96 & earlier) you need wheels with less back-spacing to clear the front spindle extension used by Trailmaster.

The problems encountered with manual transmissioned rigs lies in the 'throw clearance' of the shifter when trying to install a body lift. As you raise the body off the chassis you lessen the amount of throw (distance back and forth) the shift lever gets. This can also be a problem with the transfer case lever (push button 4x4 need not worry), but it is usually due to not being long enough. There are ways to extend the lever.

It is always good to 1st contact the manufacturer of the kit you are interested in. They will warn of any pitfalls to ensure a customer is happy with their product.

Good luck

Sorry,

That I don't know. You have a Gen III and I am not as familiar with them. I have a Gen II (`95). I'm sure you will get as many opinions on this site as there are manufacturers of kits. It becomes a balancing act between what you want to pay, how much lift you seek, and how effective the others are at swaying you to use the one they have.

Good luck! :-)
