Subject: torsion bars

i have a 99 dakota 4x4 if i use my torsion bars to raise my front up how much will it lift it and do i have to get an alinement. what about air shocks on front will that mess up my alinement

torsion lift well go about 2 inches or until you hit the ruber stopers and yes you will have 2 get it alinement and air shocks will mess with it

the rubber stops are under the upper A-arms you have two sets on each side so you dont extend the suspension to far ether way

C'mon, junior. Where's the bump stops??!! Geez.

If you're gonna be modifying yout Dakota, you need to spend some quality time with it. Get under the thing and just look at it. Study it. See how things are connected. Learn how things fit together and how they come apart. Figure out what parts get closer together when the suspension is extended, and what parts get closer together when the suspension is compressed. Then when you drive it, you can picture in your mind what's happening with the mechanicals.
