Yeah I searched...

Anyone know what the oem tiresize was for a 2001 Sport QuadCab 4x4 w/ 4.7l and 5speed? Tirerack says 265, the sticker on the door says 235 and the damn truck has 245s on it.

I am also trying to see if I have the limited slip in the back and confirm that I have a 9.25. The rear axle appears to be a 9.25 (six sided cover), the door says 3.55 and the sticker in the Glove compartment says just "#3850 Corpo". 29 or 31 splines? I could pull the cover and take a peek but I am lazy and thought I would check here first.

What's odd is that while it runs like a raped ape in gears 1-4 5th gear is guttless(I'm in Denver alt= 5280ft). I assume thats normal.

What's the deal with the body lifts for the 99-02 Daks? I would prefer a 2 inch lift but I can't find anyone but PA that makes a BL for these years and then only a 3inch.

Other thoughts...

I don't see why everyone who does a SAS on these trucks goes with leafs. I have done a few SASs on rangers, explorers, a couple 4runners and a Nissan. I have found that using a early ford style radius arm, coil spring, trackbar setup is easier and has better road manners.

Does anyone even make any offroad parts fo the Dak? Just looking for a good set of lockers is frustrating as hell at least for this model year. You think they would know that it doesn't have a 8.25 rear. I have a tube bander, mig and plasma so the other stuff can be built, but it would be nice to have some things on the market so I don't have to build everything from scratch...

You're confused in expecting that there was only one size tire that came from the factory. The door sticker is likely the base size, while the size tire rack is recomending could be correct for your truck. For example, my '00 lists 235/75/15, while my truck came with 31x10.5x15.
As for the rear end size, some of these came with 8.25 and others came with 9.25. While 9.25 is most common behind the v8, that is not always the case. The 9.25 can be identified by it's octagonal (8 sides, not 6) 12 bolt cover.

I understand that they came with different sizes based on model options which is why I included the option package on my truck

Fist off you need to find a level area and jack up the rear end of the vehicle, put it in neutral and hand turn the rear wheels. If the wheels spin in opposite directions then it is a standard integral rear end. If they spin the same directions you either have limited slip or a posi.

More than likely you have a 9.25 with a 3.55 ratio. there should be a little tab on the bolts on the outside of the cover check there.

As far as the tire size there were many. my original tires were 265.
