I have a 2001 4x4 quad cab slt 4.7L dak. I just fitted it with 33x10.50r15 bfg mud terrains. didn't want to spend money on suspension lift, don't like body lifts. all it took was a few cranks on the torsion bars and VERY minor trimming on the bottom plastic cover of the front bumper to clear these mudders. if you want bigger tires and no lift, if you can deal with 10.50 33's instead of 12.50 33's this is the way to go. Not many people make the 10.50s but they look bad ass. Thought it might help some of you.

Of course if you do throw on the 33" bfgs you cant possibly take the truck offroad after that cause your barely clearing now right? I cant see you having any kind of articulation, are you now stuck on the pavement? or are you not sure yet because you havent tried it yet? Take that puppy in and out of some drywashes, crawl over some small rocks, hit some whoop de whoos then let me know if you will need more trimming.

actually I'm not having the clearance problems you would think, mainly because they are only 10.5 inches wide not 12.5. I think with the 12.5's I would have more problems. Yes they are somewhat close the plastic in the fender wells, but at full lock I still have plenty of clearance from the frame rail, which is what could damage the tires. Yeah the tires could possibly beat up the plastic inside the fender wells going over rocks and such, but if your going in the woods, such things are probably going to happen regardless. I have had it out in the strip cut mines around here twice with very little trouble, other than my idiot friend backing in to me and smashing my front bumper.
