Subject: Rancho 3" susp.

Message:
Well i posted the other day about getting the 3 inch body lift, But i figure by the time i get the body lift and tires to get the clearance then i will be close to what i would pay for a suspension lift so im going to go with the rancho 3". Now the question, Is 3 inches the max you can go with the rancho? Or can you crank the torsion bars another inch? Or is there any way to get another inch or so out of that lift? Also if any one has pictures of a 4x4 with just the 3" rancho i would love to see them. Thanks in advance

Hey Marc if you're going with the 3 inch ranch, it won't cost much more to get 3 inch body lift with 285/75-16's or so is a real good combination. Here is a link of what it looks like go to www.cardomain.com and search for member id emergencyguru. Take care and good luck, Heath

The Rancho lift will not give you any more ground clearance at the lowest point (transfer case skid plate). It will let you fit larger tires which will increase the clearance. You can accomplish the same thing with a body lift - much cheaper.

I went ahead and did the rancho. It does give you more clearance at the transfer case. Next to 2 inches on mine. Because you can actually crank the lift to 4 inches with out putting too steep of angles on the cv joints. My friend and i installed it. was pretty easy. Hardest part was the torsion bars. Getting them loose was a pain and because of limited room, Drilling holes for the new keys was hard. Pictures of the lift here http://s80.photobucket.com/albums/j173/Marcs08/Truck/ . Still running the stock size tires
