Why not just buy one for under 300 bucks? I would never try and make my own steering extension. The pucks they give you have a compressinal strength of like 20,000 pounds, i dont think hockey pucks come near that.

And you wouldnt get any brackets for your bumpers either.

A number of states will automatically fail vehicles found with Hockey Puck body lifts during safety inspection.

As General Honorae would say of using on Hocky Pucks; "You must be stuck on stupid."

Think about it; do they use body-mounts to play Hockey?

Just Froogle Performance Accessories 642X. PA is Trailmaster's body lift brandname. They only sell suspension lifts under the Trailmaster name now.

The PA 642X is the 2" body lift for the 87-96 Dakota, and unfortunately they don't market a 3" kit for those Dakotas anymore.

Both Summit and Jegs list the PA 642X for under $100

Yes walt you were right on that one. It is a PA lift, I called my dealer today and they still make a 3 inch lift but its special order only. 98$ after shipping and tax. I plan on Putting that on and than trying your body lift that you did. How much fabrication did it take and about how long do ya think? Cant wait till my truck is done so i can send ya some picks walt!!! Its a 89 dakota sport, white with the sport stripes and letters, No rust 45,000 origonal miles. Sharp truck cant wait till its done. Just waiting on the stroker motor to come in next week.

Thanks Much, Joe
