i got an '02 Dakota quadcab 4WD with a 3" body lift. It aint enuff! Where do I go now for a resonable priced suspension lift? Who makes one and about how much? I'd most like to go 4" suspension then shave my body from 3 to 2 to show less frame. But i'm certainly flexable. thanks.

Why would you want to lift the body, just to lower it? Instead, get some big tires and radius the wheel wells for them.

Well i'm not sure if your lift is covered but i know that Tough Country makes 5.5" lift for 97-something. Try doing a google search. They're isn't alot out for our trucks why i don't know but like the other guy said to "radius" your body in will help clear bigger tires... Fender trimming can also help but that can look quite messy unless you've done it before. Adding flares to that usually hides the mess but either way back to your lift question, But try searching for that companies products, If they do make it for your year truck it will cost around 1500 for the lift and who knows how much for labor to install it unless you do it yourself... Well thats all i got.

the tuff country kit only will work on 97-99 dakotas. the steering is different. 97-99 use a steering box while the later models use a rack and pinion. for the later models there is the 3" rancho kit. thats it.

paul is right about the price. about 1500-1700 depending where you get it. labor is about 450-550 at my shop. others may differ on your area. you may want to double check the kit footnotes to make sure that the offset of the wheels you have will clear the new steering knuckle in the kit. just a warning.

i'm not lookin to lower it. I simply would like to show less frame by shaving the 3" body lift to a 2" then make up at least 3" on a suspension lift. I've already went up a tire size with a deep dish wheel and did very little fender trimming. What's the company name that makes the suspension lift? Do any of you guys have it on your own truck?

my shop is called Jackit. we are located in salt lake city. we do mail orders. you can look us up online at www.jackit.com. yours being an 02, only the rancho kit will work. its a 3 inch suspension. i have installed a few. they arent too bad, but then again i am spoiled and have a full service shop at my disposal. i wouldnt attempt it in the drive way with hand tools. but im a pussy like that.
