I know that with cranking my torsion bars 2" and adding 2" lift blocks to my 2000 Dakota 4x4 I will be able to clear 32/11.50/15s.
My question is, can I clear these tires without lifting my truck? I will eventually lift it 2" but I had been planning on mounting the tires first.
Also, I am split as to which tire I should buy: BFG All-Terrains or BFG Mud-Terrains. Any pictures or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I would say as long as you keep it on the street you should be ok but if you offroad lift it first then recheck your clearance before you buy the tires,although mine is a 94 and probably has less wheel well than yours i have 32x11.5x15 and i still have the rubbing bigtime when i offroad.With mud terrain style tread and no lift i think you would rub or atleast it would be close....too close for me to risk.Especially if a 3"bodylift costs 100 or so.

Well, for anyone who cares, I put 32/11.50/15 BFG All Terrains on my truck this past weekend with no lift. They only rubbed the slightest bit in the front and none in the back. I cranked the torsion bars up 1.5 inches and now the tires are perfect.

Yea well now that you got it If you were thinking of lifting your truck still it might look a little odd. I got my 32's then did a BL and wished I would've waited to throw on some 33's

I suppose you could chalk it up to the fact that tires vary widely
from their "listed" sizes, but my 32x11.5s required a fair amount of
trimming up front even after I put the 3" BL on it. The truck is a
2000 as well. They still rub in the back on every sharp turn haven't
taken care of that yet...and we are just talking on the street. Like I
said, brands vary a lot and mine are pro comps which may be
larger.
Another big difference is that I have them on 15x10 rims :) I
assume yours are 8 ? Will have pics soon..
