Ok, from what I know, you could get rims that are wider and physically stick out from the truck some. That would solve your spacer problem. And I imagine that if you have 12.5 inch wide tires on your truck that you will need to stick those things out from the truck a little so as to not rub the insides of the wheelwell. I've got all stock on mine, so I don't know everything about it, but from what I've read on here, that's what I would say. I've heard people fitting those tires on stock rims and fits fine, while others say it'll rub bad. So all I can really tell you is to experiment if you have the time and money.

I know how you feel about trucks that are bigger than yours. There are some trucks where I live that the bottom of the truck itself is almost at the roof of my truck. And mine's a 4X4, so it's up farther than alot of trucks. I got my Dakota almost exactly a year ago, and I've loved it. Haven't had too many problems with it other than just replacing the water pump, and having to replace a couple of speed sensors (about $100).

Hey, if you have any questions about putting in a stereo, or cb, or any general questions, I'd be glad to take a shot at 'em. my emails kensettles@yahoo.com just don't give that out. please. I already have enough spam and stuff to have to deal with. Anymore questions just write it in this post or email me. -Ken

im all good on the stereos for now..im on an audio team. i pulled out my backseats, dynamatted everything metal on the cab bottom, built a huge box that fills up the whole back, 7 cubic foot box ported, and have 2 12's sittin in there upfiring with 2000 watts pushing them. gets pretty crazy. eventually after i get my lift put on ill get a cd radio and a whip antenna, do my exhaust up and whatnot. i got a brushed aluminum dash kit on the way to put in, gunna put xenon chrystal blue headlights and fog lights in, ipod adaptor for my alpine headunit and a few engine mods to give the 6 some more power. what all else have you done to your truck?

I haven't done too much to my truck. I've put in a Sony MP3 cd player, cb with dual whip antenna kit, new headlights, new brighter fog lights, and added 3" driving lights. I had sub in the back seat a little while ago, but the amp stopped working, so I took it out and sold a bunch of my other sound equipment. I'm tellin you what, I miss having that extra added bass in the truck. but I'm getting by ok with the little speakers in the back and the front doors. If I have any questions on Sound stuff, I'll ask you.
Oh yeah, and I raised the front suspension with the torsion bars a little, but not alot. And I just recently waxed it the other day. I was sweatin like a dog.

hell yeah, sounds like a nice truck. i know what you mean about the waxing..my profession is detailing..in florida. its not only the heat that will kill you, its the humidity. and people are like ohg it shouldnt be too hot your in the shade..think again. garage, confined area, 2 little fans on the 20 foot high roof. they dont do much. waxes, interior work, buffing..you name it i do it. it sucks. but thats just while im in college.

i been thinkin about gettin brighter fog lights. i went muddin a few weeks ago and ripped out one of the plastic motor shields that protect your engine from rocks and sticks gettin kicked up, so i ripped it out and threw it in my bed while i was on the trail, and reinstalled it at work the next day, no big deal just a few push tabs. but i guess i hit the connection for where my light turns in and locks to the back of the fog light lense..and i had them on when it was raining and i smelt burning plastic, so i pulled over..the bulb had burned all the way through my fog light housing. the damn thing is like 50 bucks on ebay for a new one. its like 80 for custom ones. i dont even want to go to dodge to see what they charge..but i have been thinkin about goin to dodge and ordering those 4x4 offroad decals like they put on the bed of the rams. might look good.

Ya know, I thought about putting some 4X4 stickers on my truck bed too, but I didn't know if they would look good.
