Subject: Question About Add-A-Leaf
IP: Logged

Message:
I was looking up some add-a-leafs for my 02 2wd, I know its 2wd and its not going to do much better offroad I just like the stance better, but anyways I was looking and there were only kits for the 97-01. Will they work on my 02? Thanks for any response.

Don't waste your money on leafs, they will change your ride quality and cost over $100. Go to PepBoys, Kragen, or Autozone and buy a set of 2" universal blocks and u-bolts for $40. You get a lift and still maintain the same ride quality.

If you want to lower the back , put the blocks ................On a 2wd the leafs are under the axle , the only way to lift is a add a leaf , It wont change the ride that much , will be a little stiffer , What really made a diference were shocks ..........I got rancho 9000 in the back adjusted to 2 and is almost like stock ......The add a leaf will give you 1 1/2 " the most of lift ...........You could put the leaf over the axle but wil give you about 5" lift ..................

Roadmaster active suspension could be used on 2wd too - a little pricier than add a leaf, but not as stiff a ride.

Lead, follow, or get out of the way

Please don't waste your money on an add a leaf system, its just not worth it! It's kinda like hookin up with a fat chick when you're down about your luck, you'll just regret it the more you think about it. Add a leaf will make you ride rough and they will sag in over time. Save money and time by gettin block lifts which will stay solid forever.

Add-a-leafs, Ha! If u want ur truck to ride like a Model T sure. But not 1 person I know will go w/ add-a-leafs. Definitely go w/ the blocks.

I did the 2" spacers on thr front coils and 2" blocks on the back of my 06 Dakota TRX4 SLT. Sits higher and rides as smooth as a AWD quab cab will ride.
