Subject: Lift, Axles, wheels...SALE 5.5" TC Lift
IP: Logged

Message:
Okay, Finally got the axles to do a solid axle swap on my 99 Dakota. I'm going to start tearing the truck down soon.

Parts all from a 1999 Dodge Dakota Club Cab SLT 4x4 w/318 motor and Auto Tranny.

Everything under neath it I want gone. Everything from the frame and under for sale.

35" Super Swamper Trxus Tires. about 65-70% tread left.
15" American Racing Alloy Rims, model #136 Ventura
5.5" Tough Country lift with 4" rear blocks + shims instead of the 3" that come with the kit.
Rear Axle (Needs to be repaired, blew out the rear Differential and the Ring and Pinion) Brakes have less then about 2000 miles on them.
Front Axles. Brakes have less then 2000 miles on them as well as the NEW ball joints.
New Bushings on the A-ARMs, similar to Energy Suspension bushings.
Front and Rear Drivelines
Transfer Case (maybe, depends on what I can get for it.)

Everything you need to bolt up for a 2-wheel drive to convert to a 4-wheel drive.

I'm located in Denver, CO.

I would rather not part any of this out....Just want it ALL gone in one trip.

you know you want this....the lift kit itself is 1300 bucks new.

Email me at Kylimist@Hotmail.com or Falcon69@Comcast.net if you have any questions.

I'm looking for any offers. Might be willing to trade too if you have something I'm interested in.

Thanks,
Jason

Just an off idea.... I would consider just trading the whole truck for another Dakota without a lift, plus some cash. Must be 4x4, club cab, no body damage, less then 75k miles, perfect running engine/transmission/transfer case.

On my truck, I have a Warn Multi Mount Grill Guard (for use with the Multi-Mount winch), factory tow package, Custom Alarm and 1000watt system, Matching Canopy (nice one, not the piece o' crap ones ya see for 500 bucks), CLEAR TITLE.

just thought I'd throw that out there. This might be a way to go If you're already lookin for the set-up, but want to save all the labor and ALOT of cash doing it.

Email me your phone number, and maybe we can work something out.

Purplemonster...Definately

I got the 79' Ford F350 Dana 60 front delivered today....already had the Corp 14 bolt. So now the tough work begins.

Taking both axles down this weekend to have them shaved, so I have about 2" more clearence. Then need to break out the torch and tear off the brackets and get them ready to weld on the coilover brackets and the 4-link brackets.

Then to come up with the needed cash to buy the ARB's and the 35-spline outer upgrade kit for the front.

This is gonna be expensive, but oh so worth it. Daimler Chrysler really F'd up when they designed this truck. It's off-road factor really is the worst in the industry. Even with the TC lift, it still sucks. I think my car does better four-wheelin! Time to do the job right and MUCH MUCH MUCH improve on the crappy engineers of Daimler Chryslers design of this truck.

I think the hardest part I'm really faced with is finding a shop to CNC plasma the skidplate I need so I can mount the lower links to the frame. Also, need to fab up a transfer case support. So, lotsa work, gonna be fun. It's going to be insanely high, but I figure with 7-9" wider wheel track, it will be stable still. I calculated the 4-links out and it will put the bottom of the trucks frame rail at about 35" off the ground. 39.5" tires. At that figure, I won't have to shave the fenders. But, I'm think about droppin that down to about 27" or so and cutting and moving the body mount by the door and cutting up the fenders so the tires don't rub. Get my center of gravity lower. Still thinking on that. For a 4-wheelin purpose, that's the way to go, but for look and the oh wow factor..higher is idea. LOL

If you want to get a little more front wheel well clearance. You can move your new axle 1" forward and kick your front bumper out 1". You really can hardly notice the difference. I couldn't open your pictures. Check out my conversion.

Mainly looking for cash, but would be willing to trade for stuff like a tube bender, welder, jetski, snowmobile, etc.

Murfdawg......

I thought about that, but for most of the trails in Colorado and even Utah, 131" wheel base is way too much. Hate to extend that another inch. In fact, I'm seriously thinking about shortening the bed and bring the rear axle forward more.

Send me an Email at Kylimist@Hotmail.com if interested.

I'll take 2000 cash for everything. If you want the Transfer Case, add 600 to that.

Shipping would be way to expensive, so I'd advise picking it all up. I would bet the shipping to be about 800 bucks or so.

Thanks,
Jason

Got everything off the truck. So as of Right now, It's for sale.

Looks like everything is okay. The shockboots may need to be replaced, at least the front ones do. The ball joints and A-Arm bushings are still in excellent shape (the brakes and those were replaced about 7000 or so miles ago) The ball joints are Moog's.

The tires are still in good shape, but looks like they're more like 50% or so tread.

Everything is Dirty. I don't have the time to clean it up.

The bushings on the lower control arm are no longer factory ones. I had them specially made. They are better and longer lasting then the factory ones. They're a hard plastic, much like the Energy Suspension Bushings.

So, again, for 2grand, I'll include the following....

Rancho 9000x Shocks front and rear
5.5" Rough Country Lift w/4 inch rear block (I was able to run 35's with alittle front fender trimming.)
Front A-Arms upper and lower
Front brakes (rotors/calipers/hubs)
Front Axle and pumpkin/carrier assembly
Front Driveline w/all U-Joints and Yokes
Rear Driveline w/all U-Joints and Yokes
Idler Arm (was replaced same time brakes/ball joints/bushings were, about 7000 miles ago)
Tie Rod ends
Rear axle assembly (Ring/Pinion are wasted as well as the carrier with the spider gears. The axles, brakes, hubs, housing, pumkin are in excellent shape, just the gears are destroyed.)
Rear Leaf Springs (with the factory mounting brackets......I used a cutting torch and broke the Rivets free)
Part of the Emergency Brake Cable
35x12.5x15 Trxus Tires (bout 50% tread left)
15x9 (or was it 15x8?) American Racing Venura Wheels
15" factory Spare tire and rim. NEW, never used.
Factory Bumpstomps

This is definately a Bargain. When my balljoints went out, that was an easy 200 bucks for the parts, and I needed to replace the bushings....well, as you all know, you either need to do what I did by having the old bushings pressed out and ones custom made to fit, or spend $400+ to buy a New Lower A-Arm from the dealer. With my kit, they'll last ya a long time.

I live in Denver, CO. As i stated before, I am willing to ship these, but you'll need to pay for the shipping. I can place everything on a pallet and wrap it up ready to be picked up at my work (I have a loading dock there). I am guessing that this will run you a max of $800. It's alot of weight.

Or, you can just come to my house and pick it all up.

Here's a pic of the truck and how the lift and wheels/tires look on it.

Nobody is interested in this stuff? If I don't get hits from anyone here, I'll just part it all out piece by piece on eBay. I'll probably get more that way anyway, but, thought I'd give you guys a first shot at it.

Head to an ace hardware store. Don't buy the grade 8 bolts..they shear off. I made that mistake twice before I figured it out.

Buy the bolts that have 10.9 stamped on the top. I think they are metric. Those work great, and make sure you use some lock tite, as the vibration works them loose.
