I HAVE INSTALLED 3" PA LIFT. I WANT TO BUT K&N FIPK. I READ ALL OF PAST POSTS AND THERE WAS SOME TALK ABOUT HAVING TO MODIFY HEAT SHIELD. CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THE MODS WERE AND IS IT WORTH THE TROUBLE AFTER SPENDING THE $250.00.

No one has an answer for this? I took the time to check all of the past posts before I asked.

Thanks justin. I was hoping some one actually made mods to K&N. I wanted to run a after market air intake due to the bend in the stock intake because of the lift. There are alot of cheap options on ebay. Thanks for taking the time. David

I have the FIPK on my 2002 QC. The heat shield mounts to body which should move with the BL. I asked K&N and PA the same question cause I'm putting on a BL. The answer I got seems correct. The shield moves up and the tube/fernco has enough play. I guess we'll find out. My 2 cents

Thanks for the responses. It sounds as if it should work. Craig when are you planning on doing the lift? maybe I'll wait to see how you make out. David
