On the manual shifter do I have to remove my 5spd shifter or just my T-case shifter?
Pics in instructions look nothing alike
Thanks. 2000 3.9 4WD

Ok I'm in some serious need of help right now. Besides that question the instructions say to loosen 8 cab mounts and I've only found 6. 2 in the very front....2 on the passengers side and 2 on the drivers side...:( Please I need help/advice.

Well just in case someone actually decides to read this stuff. Got everything together except for my fan shroud, bumpers, shifters (dont know how to weld) and tightening my steering extension and brake lines that bolt to the frame. I would just like to say that if I had the chance I would stab somebody from PA. Actually my only deal with that is the extension did not fit at all (alot of grinding with the dremel) and the fact it is tightend with an allan bolt (dunno what it's called) But its not for a socket. Everything went just fine till that crap. I could understand an 8 hr job if maybe 2 guys are doing it. I'm still not done after 13. Couldn't figure out a way to lift the bed with my jack with my lack of stuff so I managed to pick the damn thing up. Not so easy for a little guy (135 lbs).

Sounds like your having fun. Next time you'll do what I did, bring it to a shop that knows what they are doing. It may cost $500-$700, but I never had one ounce of stress or frustration, and that is priceless.

Yes but the next time I do it will be on anther dakota and I'll know what to do. Fairly simple once you go through it once. That and I don't have $500-$700 to just to throw down for someone to put on a BL. Plus I enjoy working on my trucks no matter how mad I get cuz I know in the end it's my work and I'm happy with it.

Looks good! Well worth the effort and frustration it would appear.
