I would contact the manufacturer online, explain that you bought one of their lifts and it had no directions. They will probably mail you some.

You have 2 choices:
1. Cut out the lower portion of your fan shroud, leaving the sides intact so that you can still mount it (he said mount) to the radiator.

2. Remove the shroud/ fan assembly and install an electric fan.

The 1st one is easier. Some will dispute that you lose some cooling capabilities. I have not noticed a difference. I had plenty of clearance between the lower hose and fan, maybe they are simply pointing it out so you ensure there is clearance. What I did have is limited clearance on the auto trans lines going to the radiator. The fan would "touch" the one on the passenger side when I rotated it through by hand. DO THIS BEFORE STARTING THE ENGINGE ONCE THE LIFT IS INSTALLED. I was able to "tweek" the line to gain some clearance.

The 3rd option that I didn't mention is to trim the tips off of the fan itself. While I have heard it mentioned on this site, I would not recommend this, because the fan is balanced. Removing an unequal amount of weight could cause failure to the water pump bearings.

Hope this helps.
