where exactly is the idler arm, i am no top mechanic, but u can get a lot done with a good wrench, and Rick i have new ae 589 15x10's that ran true for about two weeks, and did not take any hard licks, so i can rule out a bent rim, also when driving down the road the rims and tires dont shake or wobble indicating a bent rim, the steering wheel just shakes violently at about 40 mph until it hits 40 it doesent shake bad
any more suggestions??

It shakes bad after running it through the mud? Obvious answer is not an alignment. Take the wheels off one by one and search every inch of the rim for mud. Caked on mud, even a small chunk will throw a wheel out of balance. If you don't find any mud on the outside of the rim check to see if mud got in the tire, it happens believe it or not. If the tire spins on the rim, it gives mud a chance for mud to slip in. Good luck.

Your truck probably doesn't have an idler arm as it is most likely rack & pinion. If you haven't found the solution yet, check the CV joints.
