Why does Toyota sell their trucks with the "Prerunner" package? It's just a 2WD lifted and looking just like a 4x4, but without the front drivetrain. Some people like the lifted, 4x4, look without incurring the weight and maintenance.

Toyota has recognized that people will pay to have that look. Like any good capitalist, they are selling a product people will buy. They must have figured that they should get some of that money that would be spent modding the looks instead of someone else...

As soon as you buy me a truck and all the parts I need for whatever I want done, I will be more than happy to do things how you think they should be done. However, since you did NOT pay for my truck and did NOT pay for any of the parts I put on it then you have no say so on how things go with stuff I bought.

In short - eff yourself and don't tell others they are supposed to be doing with their stuff, you damn kid.
