hey guys, i was talking to my cousin the other day about getting a brush guard for my truck and he said that if i got one for a winch he had a warn winch he would GIVE me. and i was wondering how good do you think that a transformer would hold up sice i would have to raise it for the body lift i have. i wouldn't be used much, but when it does get used, i don't wan't it to pull off my new brush guard.

Pleas help if you can.

You'll want a custom front bumper for this job, bud. And you'll want a 4x4 shop to build it. Straping a winch to a bolt-on brush guard will just bend your front bumper.

My suggestion is to have a class 3 hitch installed on the back, and get a mount made for the winch so you can attach it to the REAR of the truck. Run some 0/1 cable to the back for power. Most of the time you go nose in first anyway.

well, actually if it would bend then warn wouldn't have made it. oh and by the way, the transformer has nothing to do with the bumper, it mounts to the frame.
