have any of you gotten one of these brush guards for their dakota.
Here is a picture of kinda what it looks like.

http://www.4wheelparts.com/4wp/products/productLine.asp?cat=TUB&prodline=388&catName=Tubular&man=GSP

But anyways i want to know if anyone has one with or without a body lift and how you like it. I am wanting to put a body lift and this on my 98 dak but i want to know how hard it would be to make it fit with the lift.

But please take a look at these and tell me what you think (like quality wise) even if you don't have one.

I have never had one but id say they look as good a quality if not better than most of the other ones available.

Getting it to work with a body lift may be difficult. Theres not really any way to know until you try. It most likely will take drilling new holes or making some sort of adapter bracket.

Personally for $300+ I would expect the guard to actually protect the front more than these do...but you have to go to Hanson or ToughCountry to get those and theyre like $1000 and destroy the looks of the front.

Mainly i want one for looks and if i can build brackets strong enough, i am going to put tow hooks on the lower part of it where it is stongest and i really don't want to pay more than 300 for one. if you ask me i figured it was a pretty good price for what you get and i looks like one of those 600-700 dollar brush guards.

Also does anyone know where the lower part would bolt to if i didn't put a body lift on it.
