Subject: 87 tire size with lift?

Message:
ok, im planning on putting a trailmaster 3inch body lift on my 87 4wd. this has probably been asked before, but my question is, can i run 33x12x15s with that lift? some say its possible, some say it isnt. or would 32x11x15s be better?

i have the torsion bars cranked up in the front to level the truck out now. from the center of the rear axle to the fender it is 22", and the front respectively is 20".

so with the lift, thats 25" from the axle to fender in the rear, and the front is 23". will this be enough suspension travel? since the tires are roughly 32.5"s tall, that gives me about 6"s up front to travel correct? will i still need to do some trimming to the fenders?

what backspacing do you suggest for the rims?

my main concern is the tires rubbing.

thanks
-steve

ive got a 87 2wd w/ 30x11.5s on it your gonna deff need rims!!! b/c the front will scrub on the frame and the rear on the inside of the fender. there really aint much to trim up front to get the most clearance up front relocate the battery (to behind the seat or if you got a tool box just in the bed) and take out the front inner fenders im plannin on doin that after my back heals (jumped the piss out of mine w/ no aftermarket suspension got 2 bulged disk in my lower back now)
