I JUST PURCHASED THE PA 3IN BODY LIFT FOR MY 03 CC 4X4 4.7. BUT A LITTLE LOW IN FUNDS FOR THE TIRES STILL. IS ANY BODY RUNNING THE STOCK TIRES AND RIMS WITH A BODY LIFT.

Yep I am. It looks alright and anybody who knows 4x4's will look at your truck and notice it lifted. Most people won't though. Do the bl and wait to buy the right tires you won't be sorry as depending on the tire you should get another 1-2.5 inches.

The only bad thing is your truck just won't handle as well with the stock tires as it will feel more top-heavy. I had to wait almost two months after the body lift to buy my new tires, so don't feel bad. It will be worth the wait to get what you want. My Mickey Thompson Baja Claw radials cost me $770 mounted and balanced. (305-70-16's)

M4Ever did you also buy new rims because I was told the biggest size tire I can fit on my stock rim is a 255/85/16.

If you have 16x8 inch wheels you can put up to a 315-75-16 on them which runs about 35 inches tall and 12.5 inches wide. I'm running my stock wheels with my Claws that are 33 inches tall and 11.7 inches wide. If you have 7 inch wheels then a 285-75-16 is as wide as you can go. That's not much wider than your 265-70-16's. My tire man said that my tires balanced incredibly well and was really surprised. He said that is uncommon of a lot of factory wheels when you install an over-sized off-road tire. So don't worry about getting wheels just yet. 33's will look so good on your stock wheels that you might be like me and not even want to buy any different aftermarket wheels. I have a friend with a body-lifted Dak who is waiting for his tires to wear out before he buys 33's. Just be a little more careful driving until you get your bigger tires as your truck will be a little top-heavy. When you finally put your 33's on you'll notice a little difference getting in and out of your truck. Good luck with the lift. Ask a lot of ?'s and do a lot of research and you'll be happier in the long run like me.

Mopar 4 Ever. So you think 33 10.50 16's will work on my factory wheels? Do you have any pics of your tire/wheel/lift combo? Have you measured the height to the bottom of you rockers, if so what's your measurement?

33-10.50's will work, but they will look like bicycle tires on a body-lifted Dak. Your truck won't be as stable as it would be on a 285-75 or 305-70, and so on. I'm working on getting some pictures on here.

Mopar 4 Ever,

What is the stability and ride difference in a 285/75R-16 vs 305/70R-16? The 305s should be the same as 33"x10.5s, right?

I have an '01 QC with a 3" PA body lift. I am also one who is currently running the factory 265/70R-16s waiting for them to wear out before upgrading to BFGs.
