Subject: 3" PA Body Lift Done!

Message:
Well I tackled the hefty chore yesterday. I went to Summit Racing early in the morning to get the lift and was home by 12:00 noon. I sat and read through the directions and waited on a buddy to come over to give me a hand til about 12:45. We got started around 1:00 and finished the job at right around 9:00PM. So it took about 8 hours. I would say without all the time wasted reading their poor excuse for directions and fixing their steering extension I could have had it done in about 4-5 hours. I did not mess with the fuel filler as there was plenty of slack, and I also did not have to screw with the automatic transmission line. The steering extension was the biggest pain in the ass and it took a good hour just grinding and filing that to the proper dimensions. All in all it was a big pain in the ass but the pay-off is just as big. The finished look is B-E-A-utiful. I am very impressed. Although I think this kit should cost more like $100 vs. $189.

If any of you are planning this project you can email if you have any questions, I would be more than willing to help. jamo33@yahoo.com

Thanks for reading
Tom

Oh yeah I forgot to say that I ripped one of the ground wires attached to the firewall in half! OOPS. When I got everything back together I started it and it ran fine so I taped the wire to the other ones and left it for now. Also I did not have to install the radiator hose extension but I did have to flip the hose 180 degrees to get it out of the way.
