My truck is a 98 standard cab 4x4 318 and i was wondering if 33's would rub on a 3" PA body lift. Thanks for any help.

I have an 02 V8 quad cab 4x4. With the 3 inch body lift 33's still rub. In addition to the body lift i put 2 inch blocks in the rear and twisted the torsion bars an inch and a half. It still rubbed a good amount. I trimmed maybe an inch off the front plastic bumper and it doesn't rub anymore. Email me if you have questions.

Would I have to tub out the wheel well or just buy offset rims? Did your truck rub while turning or was it constent? I don't want to twist the torsion bars or anything so. I'm buying 15x10 rims with 33x12.50 Pro Comps...The snow tires that i have put on in the past were 31x12.50 and they don't rub period....so that's why i was wondering about the 33's. Those are on stock rims.

I have a 2001 reg. cab 4wd Dak. I cranked the T-bars 1 inch and added a PA 3-inch body lift. I have 305-70-16 Mickey Thompson Baja Claw radials on stock wheels. They measure 32.95 inches tall by 11.7 inches wide. I think the look perfect with the amount of lift and sit just right in the wheel-wells. I've done a lot of 'wheelin' with this set up in a short amount of time and only rubbed twice that I know of. That was only when I had to max the steering full left or right and hit a deep mud hole while turning. If you don't go with too wide of a 33, then your rubbing will be very minimum and only while off-roading. If you go with a 33-12.50 then you will rub. If you have them on stock wheels it will be on the frame and inner plastic of the wheel-wells. If you have aftermarket wheels with less backspacing it be on the middle to near plastic of the wheel-wells and on the fender flares under full articlation. I realize that 33's look great on a Dak if they are about 12.5 inches wide but a 285-75-16 or a narrow 305-70-16 works much better off-road and looks almost as good. If your truck came stock with 15's, then go with a 33-10.50-15 for wheelin and a 33-12.50-15 for on road or very light wheelin. If you have 16 inch wheels you will have a lot more choices of roughly 33 inch tall and 11 inch wide tires. I think a 33 inch tall and about a 11.5 wide tire is best for all-around on a 3 inch body lifted Dak.
