I've got a 98 5.2L 4x4. My CEL has been intermitently on/off for a year. Ive done alot to turn it off nothing works though(plugs, wires, cap, rotor, ias module). Every time I get the codes pulled it said #2 miss at idle(4 different times). Does anyone have any suggestions?

If it says that piston #2 misses at idle. Then either you have a bad sensor, timing is off, or possibly a bad PCM. You already appear to have replaced the relavent sensors and parts that are the most obvious cause. You could also have a bad piston. Have you checked engine compression at idle? I had 2 dead cylinders on my v6 ranger, however i never had any codes as it wasn't all that computerized due to its age. Next question is have you lost any noticable horsepower over time? Just my $.02
