i was wondering the same thing, only i have a 92 with a 2" lift. I think if they fit it will be pretty close, most likely with some rub. I've never really gotten a straight answer on this question either.

I installed a 2" body lift on my '94 to
accomodate wider wheels and 31" tires. I still
get tire rub occasionally if wheels are turned
to the max in either direction, especially off
road. I have 8x15 wheels off a 2000 Dakota
with 31x10.5 Bridgestone AT's w/ Rancho
5000's.
Another problem I discovered was when the
temp is below freezing, the rubber shifter boot
is so stiff that it nudges the shifter out of 2nd
or 4th gear when I let off the accelerator. When
the truck warms up, all is back to normal.

I have 31/10.5R15's with 97 dakota 15x8 wheels and no lift. Only slight rubbing at full turn-in on the very rear of the front fenders.
