Subject: General Lift Questions '99 4x4 Ext Cab
IP: Logged

Message:
Been lurkin' in the forums for some time, and can't seem to easily find answers to the following.

'99 4x4 Extended Cab SLT, 5.2, Auto, no mods, ~87K mi

Susp. Lift - Rancho 3" or Skyjacker 5.5"?

3" Body Lift - Best One?

Winch Size - Warn 9000?

Currently running 32x11.50x15's on stock rims (a bit of frame rub at lock).

I do a bit of solo trail driving and realized after almost getting stuck in the snow a couple weekends ago (deeper than it looked) I need to have self-recovery capabilities so will be changing bumper and adding a winch.

Planning (in order) Body Lift, Hanson Bumper and Winch, Manik Nerf's and Bed Extension (love those things), Suspension Lift.

Any help appreciated, great site.

3" rancho
The 5.5" is tuff country, not SJ

Go with PA for the body lift

3" rancho and 3" body will clear 35's on an 8" rim. That's about the limit of the stock axles and IFS will take

98 CC 4x4, 5.2 Auto 3.55LSD
3" Body Lift, 1" Torsion Bar Lift, 33" BFG A/T KO's

WHAT I WOULD GO WITH THE 5.5 YOU CAN ALWAYS HAVE DRIVE SHAFTS MADE AND HOW DOES IT MESS WITH THE IFS ? YOU DROP THE UPPER AND LOWER CONTROL ARMS. I WOULD BEFORE PUTING THE LIFT ON MAYBE ADDING SOME TRUSETS HERE AND THERE IF YOU PLAN ON DOING SOME WHEELING JUST TO BE SAFE
