Hey, I have a 99 4x4 dakota sport with the 5.2 (318) in it. my friend has just put a 3 inch body lift on his dak and he fit 32x9.50 swamper TSLs this summer i am planning on a suspension lift on my dak. I guess my first question is since they the price range is so close what lift i should do a 3 or 5 1/2. I dont do that much off roadin and when i do its nothin to serious but i'm doin the lift more for looks. I'm goin more towards the 3inch just because i would like to still be able to turn a corner. But i would also like to be able to fit atleast 33's. this is my second question my friend bought 32 inch swampers but they wouldn't fit cause when he actually got the tape measure out with tread and all they were 34's so then he did the body lift. if i'm getting all terain tires would i be able to fit like say a 33x11.50 BF Goodwrench tire? Thanks for readin i know it was long!!!

i have a 97 dakota with a 5.2. i installed a 3" trailmaster body lift and a 5.5" suspension lift made by tough country. i was running 33" boggers on 15 by 8 wheels. i am currently running 35's. i like having room in my fender wells, so i don't have any problems when i cross ditches. when i first got my body lift on i ran 33 by 12.50 thornbirds. i think a shorter, wide tire looks tougher than a tall narrow tire. sorry i have no scanner or i would send you a picture.

Rowdy_02,

This weekend I will be installing the 3" Performance Accessories Body lift on my 1999 5.2L Dakota Sport CC 4x4 and running 33x12.5 R15 BFG A/T on 15x8 AR-767. According to all the info I have, this will work with little or no rubbing. My only problem is that I am currently running the K&N FIPK, which to my luck won't fit with the body lift. So my task now is to engineer a solution, or invest more money into the intake side of my engine performance mod's. I will keep you posted.
