Subject: 2"lift?
IP: Logged

Message:
I'm looking to raise my 03 QC 2WD by 2" and I contacted Fabtech. They said that the springs should raise the front so it is level with the rear, thus no need for a rear add-a-leaf. OK two questions. First, I measured from the top of the fender to the ground and it is the same for front and rear, so what gives when they say the truck is not level? Second, (forgive my ignorance) is how does an add-a-leaf work when the springs are under the axel? Thanks for all info.

An AAL will increase the arch in the spring pack providing lift. If you only want 2", don't waste the money on a kit. You can get 2" out of just adjusting your torsion bars up front.

Look at this thread...

Thanks for the info. Since the raise is primarily cosmetic and for a little more clearance, the low cost alternative is very attractive.

He has a 2wd....no torsion bars. Spen72, I have the 3" body lift for my truck...but since you want 2", I'd say go with the Daystar 2" coil spacer. Would be good for you.

oh duh, 2WD, missed that. Yea spacers are the way to go for a whole lot less money...unless you like anal rape from Fabtech.
