My '01 QC had some front end problems, but this was solved by a few trips to the dealer. That was months ago, and I'm past warranty now. The front end seems to sit a few inches lower than it used to, but it wasn't anything sudden, I don't abuse my truck. It's been that way for a while. I think that the dealership didn't properly adjust the torsion bars when they reassembled the front end. The suspension seems a bit soft in the front, and the headlights don't seem to project as far as I think they could. Does this seem reasonable? It could just be in my mind, but could owners of similar vehicles, stock '01 Quad Cab 4.7L 4X4, post the distance from the top of the wheel to the bottom of the fender flare? Thanks.

Check your torsion bar bolts. If they removed them and put them back in a lower position you will prolly notice the threads on the bolts looking newer at the end closes to where they screw in. Or if you do not see the bolt out the top of the torsion nut very much I would just crank it more.

Also if it is visibly lower then your tire wear might show more wear on the inside of the tire if it is lower and it has been some time since they did the work.

Did you notice this as soon as you got it back from the dealer, or did you say it has slowly happened over time? It's possible that your torsion bars are just getting worn. Torsion bars are just a metal bar that is twisted to put downward pressure on your A arm. If you have ever put a pair of vice grips on a screwdriver to loosen a stuck screw and had the head of the screwdriver bend, this is exactly what happens over time. Just jack the truck up and adjust your torsion bolts, located at the back of the torsion bar.

I don't think it happened over time, I just noticed it a while after I went to the dealership. But like I said, I might just be imagining it. Can someone measure the distance from the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender flare? I want to compare mine, to see if it actually is lower. Thanks.
