Hey I just wanted to tell you your truck looks great and hope you don't mind a little (borrowing) of your ideas about the tire choice.. I just wanted to ask how much actual trimming of the plastic of the wheel wells and bumper you needed in order to clear your Mickeys.. I have already ordered the body lift. Reason I'm asking is because I really don't like the stuffed wheel well look and i think the 32's will give me the look i want.. A little homework on the 32s show me a couple differant options for tire sizes on the 32's but would like the wider tire.. Any info would be appreciated.. Thanks again..

I haven't actually trimmed anything yet ... I just don't cramp the wheel while turning in reverse. I want to see if I can adjust the front bumper up a bit. When the body lift was installed I don't think they quite got it up high enuff. If that doesn't do it I'll have to trim just the inside bottom corner of the bumper. Won't have to trim it much, it just barely catches.

I don't know what kind of wheels you're looking at, but I'm using the Eagle Alloys (15x8) and they have 3 3/4" backspacing. If you get the right wheels with the right backspacking you may not need to monkey around with trimming anything.

Be prepared for some serious road noise with the Mickeys. They are an awesome looking tire and perform well, but they do howl. I'm actually hoping they wear out quickly so I can try something else! lol

Thanks for the quick response. I was hoping to use 15 X 10s but realize that its almost inpossible without rubbing so i'm looking at the 15 X 8's.. Gotta say I hate our bolt pattern, definetly limits the choices. I plan on using the stock wheels for my travels, i'm in the military so I travel a lot of ground on the weekends, and then thowing on the others tires during the times I'm in town.. I've had a set of Mickey's on my Bronco and they only lasted about 12K miles. I do have to say though that I have a set of BFG Mud Terrains on my Bronco now and they wear like iron. 23K miles on them so far and they just barely show wear. Only reason I wasn't looking at putting them on was because they don't make the 13.50's on 32's.. Anyways again appreciate the response.
