i have a 9.25 rear limited slip with 3.92 gears complete from a 00 qc with 50,000 miles. i'll sell the whole thing for $400.

thanks 4wdakota now for my dumb question. What is the difference between the 8.25 and 9.25. Or better yet which is the right one for my truck. You see I finally got my dream truck at 33 yrs old
and dont know a lot of hows or whys. I only know what I want to do and hopefully by reading here I get the right things done ie: 3" body lift, add-a-leaf in rear, cold air intake, 32 or 33 tires, limited slip for starters. Most things I have to take in for work also so I cant go too overboard. thanks to all

Hey Gringo,
Since you are not sure of your final destination with this truck, I recommend that you stick with the gear ratio (that's the difference between the two) you already have. That will be indicated on the sticker inside your glove box. .
My reason: If you have a 4x4, you have to keep the same ratio in the front as what you have in the back. You can't (shouldn't) mix gear ratios.

Ive got 3.55 gear ratio, Is this ok for 33" tires? Im not doing serious off road, mainly for looks and traction in snow and hunting roads
