I just bought a 98 dakota cc 4x4 , real nice one too, but I can't seem to find the 4x4 indicator light when it's in 4wd. If you could help me on this one, If I understand the manual right it is in the 4x4 shifter knob. but I don't know please help me if you can. thanks.

I thought they were on the instrument cluster but I dont have a 98. Also mine has been burned out for over a year now. Maybe your bulb is out. Are you getting into 4x4 ok?

My indicator lights are on the instrument panel below the speedometer. When 4x4 is engaged it either says "low or high"

I have the same truck as 99dAK5.2L4X4, mine lights up yellow right under the speedometer.

well you can defenatly tell it is in 4wd because it turns like crap when its engaged. But I have no lights coming on anywhere when i pull the lever so it may be shot or i read in another forum on here that it maybe the switch so when I get a chance I am going the carry it to a dodge dealer and let them check it.
